Sustainability Summit

On June 18, Stewardship Ontario held its third annual Sustainability Summit, once more at the Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto.

Stewardship Ontario’s Sustainability Summit is our foremost event to talk to an invited audience of thought leaders, industry producers, retailers, municipalities, NGOs and senior executives from the Ministry of the Environment about the progressive things we can achieve when we work together in partnership, and the outlook and opportunities for the year ahead.

Our keynote speaker was the environmental lawyer and activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who addressed the responsibility of industry to reduce its environmental impact and how extended producer responsibility can correct market failures which lead to the waste of the earth’s resources.
