Return to Retail Program Information
Stewardship Ontario has established the Return-to-Retail Program to collect paints, stains and coatings and single-use dry cell batteries. Consumers of these materials drop off used products at retail sites, and they are transported to Processors for recycling. Collection sites can include privately owned stores, larger chain stores or not-for-profit organizations.
In Ontario, these Orange Drop (MHSW) materials may be collected for the purposes of recycling without an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA).
We are not currently looking to expand this program by adding collection sites.
