Learn about Recycling your Hazardous Waste at the Green Living Show

April 5, 2013

Are you visiting The Green Living Show this April? Why not take a few minutes and stop by the Orange Drop booth #707 to learn about how you can dispose of your hazardous and special waste.

Orange Drop, managed by Stewardship Ontario, is the Ontario-wide program that ensures hazardous or special waste is deposited at collections sites and recycled or reprocessed into new materials.
Orange Drop is fully funded by the companies that make the products which are managed in the program.

You can drop-off the following items at one of the nearly 4,000 drop-off locations throughout the province:

  •     Paints, stains and coatings
  •     Paint thinners, strippers, degreasers and other solvents
  •     Single-use batteries
  •     Oil filters
  •     Fertilizers and pesticides
  •     Vehicle engine antifreeze/coolant
  •     Empty lubricating oil containers
  •     Pressurized cylinders that held propane, oxygen, helium or other gases

The Green Living Show is North America’s largest green consumer event where visitors can discover sustainable food and drink, stylish, sustainable fashion, browse healthy personal care products, learn about the latest eco-friendly goods on the market, and visit various Eco-Zones, such as the EcoParent Pavilion and EcoKids Zone. Last year over 37,000 people visited the 435 exhibitors. For more information on the show and to reserve your tickets, visit:

The show is on from April 12-14 at the Direct Energy Centre, Toronto.
