On June 21, 2012, Stewardship Ontario held its second annual Sustainability Summit at the Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto. The summit showcased some of the important recycling innovations taking place in the province and brought together over 150 attendees from industry, government, waste and recycling organizations to learn about each other’s sustainability practices.
The day opened with remarks from the Honourable Jim Bradley, Ontario Minister of the Environment, followed by John Coyne, Stewardship Ontario’s Chair of the Board and VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Unilever Canada Inc. John talked about the innovative recycling and sustainability work underway in Ontario, and provided an overview of recent activities at Stewardship Ontario [click here to read the speech].
